Began my career by teaching computer programming and business for two years at Murray State University, Murray, KY.  Then worked about 15 years for Allegheny Ludlum Corporation in sales and sales management.  Allegheny Ludlum is a producer of high technology metals and stainless steel.  Last position was general sales manager based in Chicago.  Then started a successful small business in 1991 that was a consulting engineering firm to electric utilities.  We represented several companies to include some foreign companies.  We worked in the transmission and distribution of power for electric utilities.  I owned that company for 20 years and sold my interest to the younger members of the firm.  When I left we had 18 employees and $75 million in sales. My expertise in the business was in the administration area  to include recruiting, accounting and payroll, managing personnel and keeping all the records necessary for tax compliance and reporting.   I also had account responsibility to manage both the relationships with the manufacturers and customers.  After I left I became an EMT and Fire Fighter for the Green Perrysville Fire and Rescue.  I also own Bowers Firearms LLC, a full line weapons dealer and Type 01 FFL licensee.  I deal with law enforcement and manage internet transactions compliant to ATF guidelines.  Have been a SCORE volunteer for five years and am the incoming president effective October 2013.
